The world record for a half marathon was not broken due to strong wind and damp conditions (temperature: 8 °C, humidity: 90 %) on Saturday, March 24th, 2007 in Prague, Czech Republic. Patrick Mutuku Ivuti from Kenya won the half marathon with the time 1:01:00.

In the women's category Liliya Shobukhova from Russia making her half marathon debut, narrowly edged out defending champion Caroline Chepkorir Kwambai from Kenya. Shobukhova and Kwambai finished with identical times of 1:11:14,
